Planning a funeral and burial is very emotionally stressful, and so it was such a blessing to find Danne and to correspond with him about playing for the services of my departed father. One minor correction on the above article: Danne Farrell was taught by and played with the Caledonian Pipes & Drums of Buffalo, NY from 1994 - 2008 Danne “The Professional” As Chaplain for my fire company for the past 20 years plus, I have been required to use Danne for several Member funerals and have had him play at six different Annual Department Memorial Services. Danne is always professional and respectful to our wishes. His playing has never failed to bring tears to those present and honor our members with tradition. His rates are fair and he is always on time dressed to the 9’s. He is a resource to me and after a simple phone call, that detail of my job is done! He’s a GREAT guy! He was responsive to my phone calls and emails--getting back to me right away. He went to the church days prior to the wedding, so he was prepared for the day of.
